Lash Bar Australia – Booking Terms & Conditions

Effective for all appointments

As a small business, Lash Bar Australia operates with limited appointment availability and schedules therapists, treatment rooms and resources specifically for each booking. When an appointment is reserved, that time is held exclusively for you and cannot always be filled at short notice.

Our Booking Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure fairness to all clients while protecting the time, wages and resources required to operate our business.

By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Deposits & Payment

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure all appointments.
  • For online bookings, the deposit is generally paid at the time of booking.
  • For in-salon rebookings, the deposit may be applied when rebooking or by our booking system 7 days before your appointment date.
  • Your deposit is applied towards the total cost of your booked treatment.
  • A valid card must remain on file for all bookings.
  • You authorise Lash Bar Australia to charge the card on file for deposits, outstanding appointment balances and applicable fees or charges in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
  • Where a required deposit is unsuccessful by 72 hours prior to the appointment, the appointment will be cancelled and the time released without further notice.
  • Where an appointment is cancelled due to non-payment, a new booking and deposit will be required before the booking can be completed.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

More than 48 hours' notice

Cancellations and rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours before your appointment start time may be made without forfeiting your deposit.

Where sufficient notice is provided:

  • Your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment.
  • Subject to availability, we will do our best to accommodate your preferred date, time and therapist.
  • Your original appointment time is released once the change has been confirmed.

Between 48 and 24 hours' notice

Changes made between 48 and 24 hours before your appointment start time will result in:

  • Your 50% deposit being forfeited, and
  • A new 50% deposit being required to secure a new appointment.

Less than 24 hours' notice

Changes made within 24 hours of your appointment start time will result in:

  • Your 50% deposit being forfeited, and
  • The remaining balance of all treatments originally booked becoming immediately payable.

The remaining balance will be charged to the card on file in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

A new deposit will also be required if you wish to rebook.

These terms apply regardless of the reason for the change.

Our cancellation policy applies consistently to all bookings, regardless of the reason for cancellation or change, including:

  • Illness or injury
  • Family or personal emergencies
  • Caring responsibilities
  • Work commitments
  • Transport difficulties
  • Forgetting an appointment
  • Running late
  • Deciding not to proceed with a treatment
  • Changing or reducing treatments
  • No-shows
  • Any other personal or unforeseen circumstances

We understand that unexpected circumstances can occur. However, as a small business, we are unable to absorb the financial cost of appointments that are changed or cancelled at short notice. This policy is therefore applied consistently and fairly to all clients.

3. Service Changes, Downgrades & Removing Treatments

Your appointment is reserved based on the specific treatments, duration and resources originally booked.

If you decide to change, remove, downgrade or decline a treatment after the cancellation period has commenced, this may be treated as a cancellation of that portion of your appointment.

Between 48 and 24 hours

If you remove or downgrade a treatment between 48 and 24 hours before your appointment, the applicable 50% deposit relating to the affected booking may be forfeited.

Within 24 hours

If you remove, decline, downgrade or substantially change a treatment within 24 hours of your appointment, the full value of the treatment originally booked remains payable, even if you choose not to proceed with it.

This includes deciding not to proceed with a treatment once you have arrived at the salon.

This is because the appointment time and therapist allocation have already been reserved specifically for the original booking and cannot necessarily be reallocated at such short notice.

We strongly recommend reviewing your treatments and contacting us more than 48 hours before your appointment if you are unsure about what you would like to have performed.

4. Late Arrivals/Shortening Appointment Times

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

Late arrivals impact your treatment time, therapist schedule and other clients.

  • Arriving more than 10 minutes late may result in your treatment being shortened, changed or cancelled. This also applies if a client requests to finish appointments before scheduled finish times.
  • We will never rush a treatment or compromise treatment quality or safety to make up for lost time.
  • If there is insufficient time to complete your original treatment, we may need to change or remove treatments from your appointment.
  • The original appointment charges may still apply, including where treatments cannot be completed due to your late arrival.
  • If the appointment cannot proceed, the applicable cancellation terms will apply.

Running late or shortening your appointment time is considered an appointment change and does not provide an exemption from our cancellation policy.

5. Lash Extensions & Existing Work From Other Salons

Infills: Selecting the appropriate infill service is crucial for optimal results. Choosing the wrong infill type may result in compromised results and a need for earlier follow-up appointments. :

·        Express Infills require at least 60% of lash extensions remaining.

·        Extended Infills require at least 40% of lash extensions remaining.

·        If less than 40% of extensions remain, please book a Fresh Set to ensure satisfaction and avoid disappointment.

For the health, safety and quality of your new treatment, we do not infill, refill or work directly over lash extensions applied by another salon or technician.

If you arrive with existing lash extensions from another salon, a removal/reversal followed by a fresh Lash Bar Australia treatment will generally be required.

This allows our therapist to:

  • Assess the condition of your natural lashes/skin/nails.
  • Remove unsuitable or incompatible treatments safely.
  • Correct any issues with existing application.
  • Apply our products and techniques correctly.
  • Ensure the new treatment meets our Lash Bar Australia standards.

Important

If a removal/reversal and fresh treatment are required and these services have not been booked, we reserve the right to:

  • Change your appointment to a suitable time where sufficient time is available, at the client's cost, or
  • Cancel/change and rebook the appointment where there is insufficient time to safely perform the required services.

Where an appointment needs to be cancelled, changed or rebooked because the required services were not booked, our standard cancellation terms will apply.

Clients are responsible for advising us before their appointment if they have existing lash extensions or nails from another salon.

6. Health, Illness & Safety

For the safety of our clients and therapists, please do not attend your appointment if you are unwell or experiencing contagious illness symptoms.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where we believe proceeding may pose a health or safety risk.

Our cancellation policy still applies if you are unable to attend or complete appointments due to illness, including but not limited to COVID-19, injury or other health-related circumstances.

We appreciate that illness can occur unexpectedly, however we must apply our policy consistently to ensure fairness to all clients.

7. Therapist / Artist Allocation

While we will always try to accommodate requests for a particular therapist, therapist allocation is not guaranteed.

Therapists may change due to:

  • Rostering
  • Annual leave
  • Illness
  • Staff availability
  • Operational requirements
  • Treatment requirements

A change of therapist does not constitute grounds for cancellation or exemption from our cancellation policy.

8. Appointment Reminders

As a courtesy:

  • Email reminders may be sent approximately 7 days prior to your appointment.
  • SMS reminders may be sent approximately 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Reminder messages are provided as a courtesy only and do not replace your responsibility to remember and attend your appointment.

Please ensure your contact details are kept up to date.

9. No-Shows

Failure to attend your appointment without providing the required notice is considered a cancellation within 24 hours.

For no-shows:

  • The 50% deposit is forfeited.
  • The remaining balance of the treatments originally booked will be charged to the card on file.
  • Gift vouchers or credits allocated specifically to the missed appointment may also be forfeited where applicable.
  • A new deposit will be required before any future appointment can be secured.

10. Appointment Costs & Additional Fees

The price displayed at the time of booking relates to the treatment selected.

Clients are responsible for reviewing their selected treatments, appointment duration and pricing before confirming their booking.

Additional applicable charges may include:

  • 2.9% Booking Fee
  • 10% Saturday Surcharge
  • 15% Public Holiday Surcharge

These charges are displayed or communicated as applicable to the booking.

11. Gift Vouchers & Credits

Gift vouchers and deposits are subject to our Booking Terms & Conditions.

Where a booking is cancelled or changed within the applicable cancellation period, any deposit or applicable voucher amount may be forfeited in accordance with these terms.

Gift vouchers are not refundable or transferable unless otherwise required by law.

12. Client Responsibility

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you are responsible for:

  • Reading and understanding these Terms & Conditions before booking.
  • Providing accurate contact information.
  • Selecting the correct treatments and appointment duration.
  • Advising us of existing lash extensions or other relevant treatment requirements before your appointment.
  • Arriving on time.
  • Providing the required notice for cancellations or changes.
  • Maintaining a valid card on file.
  • Ensuring sufficient funds are available for authorised charges.
  • Reading appointment reminders and checking your booking details.

Our team is happy to assist with treatment selection where possible, however it remains the client's responsibility to ensure the booking they make is suitable for their requirements.

13. Policy Acceptance

By booking an appointment with Lash Bar Australia, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Booking Terms & Conditions.

These terms form part of your booking agreement and apply to all appointments, regardless of whether the appointment is booked online, by phone, via SMS, in person or by a member of our team.

You authorise Lash Bar Australia to charge the card held on file for any applicable deposit, outstanding appointment balance or other charges arising under these Terms & Conditions.

Our policies are designed to operate consistently with applicable Australian Consumer Law requirements. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

By proceeding with your booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
